About Me & My Services

I am an internationally-recognized expert in display technologies, with over 46 patents and 35 years of experience in projects spanning military, avionic, medical, and industrial displays.

I specialize in designing and  tuning displays for wide-angle viewing, for high-ambient lighting situations, for night vision, for front surface laminations, including touch  panels and other display systems considerations. I focus on AMLCDs but I also have experience in other display technologies. I have much experience in backlight designs (BEF is my original patent). I developed in-cell optical touch, and have experience with most touch technologies, I have experience both in managing R&D teams in the lab and in supporting products through the manufacturing process.

I'm retired from my role as Chief Scientist at Planar Systems and now focus on a variety of consulting projects.
